Who am I?

Hello there! and thank you for checking out how you can improve your English with me!

I'm Carla a bilingual individual whose mother tongues are both English and Italian. This is thanks to my family routine of speaking English at home while we were living in Italy and of speaking Italian at home when we were living in England.

Crazy I know... but very strategic!

Positively a people person, I have an immense passion for singing too!

What I do

Pencils, paper, stationery, colours and all types of stationery  were what I loved buying when I was a child.

It's only natural that as an adult I now love teaching and helping my students learn English.

I've been teaching English as a Second Language since 2012 preparing students of all ages and all levels for Cambridge examinations, in presence in the classroom or virtually online.  I have also published a handbook regarding teaching in the classroom using CLIL.

How I can help

Let me know where you are, and I'll tell you where I can take you!

I'm sure you want to improve your abilities and skills in English whether you're just starting out or you already know the language and want to strengthen your weak spots.

Speaking & conversation, Listening and Comprehension, Writing emails, essays and proposals, Reading and comprehension. All these skills can be improved allowing you to feel Confident in English.

What they say about me...

Bilingual & Bi-cultural

Carla Cauteruccio is an English teacher with a bi-cultural and bilingual background. This naturally led her into the world of language education. Having earned her language qualifications while growing up in the UK, she has been teaching English as a Second Language since 2012. Over the years, she has worked with learners of all ages and levels, from wide-eyed children just starting out to adult professionals seeking certification and confidence.

Carla's passion for teaching...

... shines brightest when she sees her students succeed. Especially those she introduced to English from the very beginning. Their progress, courage, and curiosity continue to inspire her daily. She has helped many of her students prepare for and pass official Cambridge English exams, a process she finds both fulfilling and rewarding.

CLIL methodology

In recent years, Carla has deepened her work with CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning), although she discovered she had been putting its principles into practice long before she knew its name. In Italy, she has also worked with fellow teachers as part of the PNRR initiatives, supporting their professional growth in both English and CLIL methodology.

"The CLIL Approach"

Carla’s first published work "The CLIL Approach Handbook" (2025), was something she long dreamed of but never imagined would come true. Now that it has, she hopes it will be a helpful and encouraging resource for teachers ready to explore the power of CLIL in their own classrooms.

Carla believes that anyone can learn anything—with the right support and a learning path that fits. That’s the kind of teacher she strives to be every day.
